Snow. Never has anything elicited such a strong response in people all over the world. You’ve got the group that deplores snow and plans their life around avoiding it. Then there is the group who live for it every year and aren’t happy unless they spend their weekend “on the slopes.” Sometimes you meet someone who feels pretty lukewarm about snow…those are the people who have never had to live in it.
I remember being that person. I didn’t see snow until I was 24 and when I finally did, I was unprepared for the amount of effort it required. Shovels, salt, boots, jackets, sweaters, hats, goggles, gloves, waterproof gloves on top of the warm gloves…the list of supplies never ends. Then you have to drive in it. Yikes!
