A much dreaded chore.
Filling out form after form.
There’s no end in sight.
Wild-eyed and desperate.
You seek guidance from strangers.
They’re no help at all.
Completed, at last.
Tax season has left you drained.
Jail would be simpler.
This series is intended to highlight the ridiculous antics of adulthood – a milestone we all wanted to reach as quickly as we could. Unfortunately, the reality of adulthood is not the endless cake and cookie feast we all believed it to be. It turns out, there are a lot of monthly bills and no one cooks you dinner!
Ahh, yes, the dreaded tax season…always fearful Of missing something and being imprisoned…🤦🏻♀️😂

Finished with mine a few weeks ago and of course, we had to fill out an extra form for our state because after we sent it all in, they wanted more info which of course, delayed things. Every year seems to be something. Love the poem though Heather. That pretty much sums it up

Those extra forms also sneak up on you! That’s when I contemplate just going to jail 😆
