This salsa is a fun change from the standard chips and salsa served at so many parties. This is also a perfect substitute for that boring fruit platter because it has delicious crunchy chips to scoop with! I’ve included a recipe for homemade cinnamon tortilla chips but you can always purchase them already made – because life is busy enough without having to make your own chips.

Fruit Salsa with Cinnamon Chips

3 green onions
1 yellow bell pepper
2 cups strawberries
1 orange
1 apple
3 kiwis
1/4 of a fresh pineapple
1 TBSP lime juice
1 jalapeno (optional)
Cinnamon tortilla chips

Food processor (optional)

Finely chop all ingredients, removing any peels or seeds as needed.
Combine in a large bowl and mix with lime juice.
Cover tightly and chill for 6 hours.
Serve with cinnamon tortilla chips.

Superhero Tip: Make your own cinnamon tortilla chips. Cut flour tortillas into triangles, and lay them out on a large baking sheet. Spritz with a very light layer of cooking spray. Combine 1/2 cup of sugar with 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon and sprinkle over the chips. Place in oven at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Remove from oven when crisp.

Second Superhero Tip: If you are making this salsa more than 6 hours before serving, leave the strawberries out of the mix until you are ready to serve.
