This may surprise you, based on today’s choice of recipe, but I do not like hot coffee. Not just hot coffee, I don’t like tea and very rarely will I have a hot chocolate – a childhood trauma when my favorite breakfast place closed down may be to blame. However, this recipe is delicious and it can be served hot or cold!

Mocha ‘n Maple Coffee
INGREDIENTS
2 cups hot coffee, strongly brewed
1/2 cup milk
2 TBSP chocolate syrup
2 TBSP maple syrup
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
Whipped cream topping
1/4 cup coffee liqueur, optional
UTENSILS NEEDED
Pitcher for hot liquids
Mix coffee, milk, syrups, cinnamon and liqueur in pitcher.
Pour evenly into two glasses, filling only halfway.
Top with whipped cream, filling to just below the top of the glass.
Drizzle additional syrup on top.
Add another layer of whipped cream and sprinkle extra cinnamon on as final garnish.
Superhero Tip: You can make this delightful drink with a strong cold-brewed coffee or even a regular coffee that has been chilled in the fridge.
Second Superhero Tip: Substitute cocoa powder for cinnamon, caramel syrup for the maple syrup, and peppermint liqueur for the coffee liqueur. It’s a whole new treat!

Yum! Sounds delicious! I am going to try it this morning. Without the (optional) liqueur.

Best not to add liqueur until you can sit at home and nap!

Not as much as I love chocolate, but I love having my mid morning coffee and I have a cuppa tea each evening, you know like an old grannie I sit with my tea, some chocolate and my friend Netflix, plus several dogs lol. Ooh! I love both of these flavors in my coffee so this is very interesting to me. I had a maple coffee last fall from Dunkin’ donuts. I wasn’t sure if I would like but I loved it. No mocha though so yeah, will definitely have to try this! #ABloggingGoodTime (sorry, playing catch up on some linkies I forgot to respond to)
