Not everyone is a natural in the kitchen. Heck, some of us have lit our microwaves on fire while trying to make a bag of popcorn. It’s not like we planned for that to happen but the popcorn button on the microwave is deceptive.
Who would guess butter is that flammable?!
That’s where my recipes come in! I love baking and am great at it. However, I still struggle to make something as easy as garlic roasted potatoes without a piece of paper guiding me – the oven temperature escapes me every single time! I am also hopelessly unmotivated to cook each night, so the easier the item is to create, the more likely I am to make it.
Here are all the recipes I’ve posted to the blog. I’ve taken the liberty of posting links to each page in an effort to save you from smashing your phone in a fit of hunger while standing in the kitchen at dinner time. The recipes are from the US so the temperatures are in Fahrenheit and the measurements may look odd – google will convert everything to your country’s system. Or you can live on the wild side and order a set of US measuring cups from Amazon. One of my UK readers did this and said she’s never had so much fun with a bag of flour.
I was worried about her for a minute, then I had to return my attention to the bag of popcorn I had in the microwave. You can’t take your eyes off those for a minute!

Let me know what you think, and any changes that you made. I love tweaking recipes because it keeps them fresh and exciting so you’re not eating the same thing over and over.

I ve bookmarked this as I am no kitchen wizard either. Thank you . Do you watch Plantation woman or pilgrim woman or whatever she’s called? I want to but don’t get food network channel. I can its just it comes with a more expensive package.

I think she might be Pioneer Woman? Maybe. I don’t have cable so I don’t get the Food Network. Which really stinks because I used to enjoy watching it so much. But I do have Netflix and they have quite a few cooking related shows!

Wow I didn’t realise you’d done so many recipes on the blog! I’m definitely not a natural cook (I cook because we have to eat, whereas hubby cooks because actually ENJOYS cooking – what’s THAT all about??! Haha) #blogcrush

I am not a natural cook either, if I am not cooking for other people then I don’t even bother. That’s why I wanted to start putting up a weekly recipe, because so many recipes you find online required hours, hard to find ingredients that you’ll never use in another dish, and kitchen skills that many of us don’t have the time to master. My recipes are guaranteed to be easy to make for most people.

I can’t wait to try some of these recipes, they look and sound amazing… (mental note to remember to convert temps to English and not get distracted by the popcorn in the microwave). Oh that reminds me, we once set fire to our microwave trying to turn pencil lead into diamonds, thanks to those pesky 5 minute craft YouTubers!
