I’d like to start this post by telling you how much I dislike pie. Other than a chocolate pudding pie, the peanut butter pie is the only one worth eating. Peanut butter pie is the equivalent of two slices of cake, quite an exciting thrill for a fat kid like myself. Make this treat and then prepare for your sugar coma to hit while you are near a couch!

Special Recipe Note

This recipe is very, very sweet. If you are using peanut butter that is already sweet, or just don’t want your teeth to hurt, cut the amount of powdered sugar in half. I don’t eat it with the full sugar added in, but Hubster loves it. My readers should note that Hubster is a sweet-tooth and I prefer saltier snacks.

Peanut Butter Pie

Pie Crust:
30 Oreo cookies
1/4 cup butter, melted

Pie Filling:
1 cup creamy peanut butter
8 oz. cream cheese
1 1/4 cups powdered sugar
8 oz. frozen whipped topping

Pie pan

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Crush Oreo cookies and combine with melted butter, fluffing with a fork.
Press into pie pan and bake for 5 minutes. Set aside to cool.
Mix peanut butter and cream cheese until smooth.
Add powdered sugar and mix until smooth.
Add in whipped topping until smooth.
Pour the pie filling into cooled crust and refrigerate for one hour before serving.

Superhero Tip: Use a graham cracker crust and sprinkle the top of the pie with chocolate chips.

Second Superhero Tip: Decorate the top of your pie with unsalted peanuts and chocolate sauce drizzle. Make a smiley face!
