Recently I have been posting about the blogging community and tips I have learned over the years I’ve been blogging. A reader who is new to blogging wondered why the community gets so bent out of shape by bad etiquette.
The blogging community is a mighty force. It establishes trends seen across social media. It influences what people purchase when they are shopping. It even rescues people from the darkest pits of despair by providing an outlet to those who need it.
The blogging community provides motivation and support to people from all walks of life.
However, even with as mighty as the blogging community is, we have one weakness – humans. The only way this machine operates is through sheer dedication of the individuals who contribute to it. Shunning the community – through poor etiquette and a desperate stomping of those who have built it up before you – not only devalues your own blog, but the community as a whole. I’m asking you to contribute the most basic of all things:
Be a good human.
Not only will you become a better blogger, but the world is in desperate need of kindness in order to become better for the next generation.
I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
